P90X & Asylum Hybrid: Day 9 Vertical Plyo & Basketball

 P90X / INSANITY THE ASYLUM HYBRID: Day 9 Vertical Plyo and Basketball.  So as I continue this new journey mixing in my old favorite friend P90X into my workouts…I really missed playing basketball while doing The Asylum.  So I’m forcing myself to stay on schedule and still play ball with the guys I’ve played w/ for the last 2+ years.  It’s not easy.

    Hey I know this is an old thread but I am a basketball player and have just finished week one of insanity asylum and I noticed my vertical is way down when I play. I’m guessing this is due to the lack of rest between workouts and the diet provided as well… Was it the same for you and did your vertical come back better than ever after you finished asylum?

      No I actually saw a great increase in all areas. If you’re working out too much and not getting enough rest and calorie intake isn’t high enough or healthy enough…you’ll see bad results. Is that what you think it is?

        It could be that I’m not getting enough calorie intake. I’m getting a decent amount of rest but I’m trying to train for basketball while doing insanity asylum simultaneously. One in the morning one in the late afternoon. I’ll up my calorie intake and see where that takes me. Thank you for the quick response!
