Back to Basics

So today, I was so sore from doing the 3 workouts yesterday (all cardio) that I got back to basics with some resistance training.  Had my buddy Zach come over and we did the the original P90X Chest and Back.  Wow, it was tough.  Now keep in mind, I’ve done P90X for over 2.5 years.  I’ve since graduated to the P90X+ and the One on One’s that Tony put out.  They’re a lot harder than the original P90X, but it’s funny how when you go back to basics and go back to the original routines…how hard they are.  They kicked our butts…and hard.  But that’s the whole point of muscle confusion, to keep changing it up and keep your body from getting used to one thing over and over.  If anything, Tony’s taught me that.  So I feel good about today.

Diet today was a 9 out of 10….two days in a row of pretty good eating.  I will say yesterday’s 3 workouts had my body starving for food.  I’ve never been so hungry in all my life.  I was chowin’ down last night.  And I don’t endorse eating late at night, but last night I had no choice, my body was having a fit trying to rebuild.  So I gave it what it needed….food.

Last thing for today…I ‘m so stoked to see Shakeology mentioned on Oprah.com and see the very long article that will be in O Magazine next month.  It’s nice to see Shakeology getting the love it deserves.  And if there was ever a name to put with Shakeology, it’s Oprah.  Holy crap, this will be huge for the business.
